Getting to know TrailRunner

TrailRunner is a route planning tool for long distance sports. TrailRunner is three applications in one. An activity log with diary, a route editor and a mapping tool to create and maintain a local network of tracks. The main document window contains a mode switch for each of these modes.

Import Courses from a GPS device
This is very typical for bikers or anyone else owning a GPS device. Import a route you've loaded from your GPS device and extend your network of tracks by merging the imported tracks with existing ones.

Analyzing Workouts
Import, analyze and archive workouts from your training device.

Journalize with the diary
Keep a log in the diary and document your training progress, personal condition and mutual experiences.

Create and calculate routes
Within your network of tracks, TrailRunner helps you to find interesting routes for a given distance.

Draw tracks and way-points
Even if paths are already present in the background map, you must show TrailRunner which ones you would like to use. For that, you draw tracks and way-points over the background map. This will build a network of tracks, which is the basis for almost all geographical features in TrailRunner.

You are not the only one who has favorite routes. Find out what others have and import these into your document.

Add more Maps
